It’s almost the weekend and we’re really looking forward to the enduro1 race starting and finishing from Cotton Wood, utilising our existing trails for the first and last linking stage of the day.

It all kicks off at 10am- go out as fast or easy as you like before the first timed stage somewhere in Grogley, Hustyns or Bishops, (trying very hard not to give anything away!)

Start and registration area is at the top of Cotton Hill. Take the first turning left when you reach the top. You will see lots of activity! Feel free to relax in the camping area whilst waiting for your start slot.

Spectators– we’ve been asked the best place to spectate. Again, without giving too much away, If you follow the fire road to the top of Grogley, (past the day parking area), you will be bound to see sections of timed stages marked out. Also, if you head out of the Polbrock car park towards the top of Bishops Wood, you should see more activity amongst the trees. Please ensure you keep a safe distance away from the course, keep behind the safety tape, do not spectate on corners and be aware that whilst riders are set off at 30 second intervals, riders will have different abilities and you may well find a bike approaching at any moment at great speed and varying degrees of control! If you cause riders to injure themselves then you may be liable to prosecution. Please keep dogs leads near the timed stages and under control throughout the race area.

Parking – You must park in the designated parking area for race competitors, which is the forest fire road at the entrance to Grogley Down Woods and will be sign posted ‘race parking’ and is free. There will be no parking at the race start/finish/registration area at Cotton Wood,  unless you have booked to camp there. Please do not park on the side of any of the roads as they are narrow and heavily used by farm vehicles, even on Sundays. Once parked make your way to the registration/start area.

Please click here to view the enduro1 website with further information, including directions, registration and course details.

Best of luck to all the entrants from the Cotton Wood Team!
